The internationally renowned Islamic Fashion & Design Council (IFDC) announced the appointment of Roshan Isaacs as the IFDC South Africa Country Manager.
Roshan will be responsible for building a platform that is consistent with IFDC’s global achievements in supporting and developing the modest fashion industry through an array of services and initiatives. South African is about to realise opportunities unlike any other. Initiatives like IFDC partnerships with global fashion weeks which provide industry players a chance at the big league whilst increasing their brand value, and Pret-a-Cover™, a dedicated department of stores like pret a porter is for ready wear, couture is for party wear, etc; now Pret-a-Cover™ is for modest wear – a dream come true for the modest wear consumer who would otherwise find shopping a daunting task. Now this dedicated department gives assurances of success to the modest wear consumer and IFDC gives the retailers who partake in this program increased revenue opportunities. Ms. Isaacs will be seeing these and many other initiatives to increase the platform for the Islamic/modest fashion industry in South Africa.
Commenting on her appointment Roshan Isaacs said: “I am ecstatic about the prospects that the South African chapter of IFDC will create for the region and on a global scale. My team has already begun to implement a strategic plan where our initiatives will be offered on a few levels.”
