IFDC South Africa is headed by Country Manager, Roshan Isaacs who, along with her team is making a difference with their unique modest fashion initiatives that will place the regional players on a global platform. IFDC South Africa has produced many insightful episodes of The Modest Chapter, a program focused on inner and outer development of the modest fashion audience. IFDC South Africa continues to collaborate with leading names in the industry like WomanOnline.com and MAC Cosmetics to achieve significant goals set out each year. With various events across South Africa on the slate, the team plans to host one of the biggest events in modest fashion history the region has seen, Business of Modest Fashion and Design (BOMFD).

Roshan Isaacs

IFDC South Africa Country Manager

Roshan Isaacs is the South Africa Country Manager for the globally renowned Islamic Fashion and Design Council (IFDC), the world’s leading modest fashion and design council representing the Islamic economy and its stakeholders which sees her revolutionising the way in which designers the world over, perceive the modest fashionista. Roshan oversees creative projects as she tackles creative problem-solving, business strategy and big picture thinking, which is aligned perfectly with the global IFDC initiatives and vision.

In her role as Country Manager of IFDC South Africa, Roshan is a modest wear stylist, producer and host of CoverMode on local radio station Voice of The Cape, writer for Modest Muse and IFDC’s Cover Magazine (being called in the press the Vogue of Islamic fashion) and host of IFDC’s The Modest Chapter. Roshan’s contribution to establishing a voice for the Islamic design industry is at the core of all she does.

Her vision for IFDC South Africa is to create global awareness of South African Designers who cater to the modest wear market, for modest wear to be seen on mainstream runways, to host an IFDC International Fashion Show and to build a market whether in retail or online that enables South African designers to reach the global consumer.

IFDC South Africa is currently in discussion with local Fashion Weeks in presenting a Pret-a-Cover™ runway selection and have plans on hosting an international fashion weekend in the latter part of the year. IFDC South Africa works closely with local fashion councils namely Kwazulu Natal Fashion Council and Cape Town Fashion Council and have collaborated with womanonline, Style Africa and MAC cosmetics. The modest Chapter is produced in South Africa featuring an array of subjects on the modest wear lifestyle, design, beauty, style, health and personal wellness.
