IFDC has made it a focus to partner with leading fashion weeks worldwide in order to give the talent in the modest wear industry the best chances at success. Recently, IFDC designers Amber Feroz and Tahir Sultan rocked the Jakarta Fashion Week’s runway with their exquisite modest collections. The designers gained a lot of exposure through these shows, with global media and retailer rave reviews. As IFDC’s primary focus is to increase revenue streams for industry players, a focused effort was put behind generating retail contracts for these designers by the IFDC team whereby retailers were approached prior to the fashion week to build momentum on what they can expect on the catwalk from this talent. These efforts resulted in orders from retailers in 6 countries and interest in several more.
“We were very pleased at the response to Amber and Tahir’s collections and even more thrilled when they both managed to sign multiple retail agreements. We expect to see more great things from these two designers, and are proud to be a part of their recent successes,” said IFDC Chairwoman, Alia Khan.
Both talk show and the dedicated IFDC press conference highlighted Jakarta Fashion Week’s enthusiasm towards the inclusion of IFDC in its future JFW activities. IFDC deems Femina Group, the event organizer, an exceptional partner and authorities on fashion, “thank to them, Jakarta is firmly on the fashion map”, says Khan.

Pret-A-Cover™ departments in 16 of its stores, has now expanded this commitment to several more stores in new regions in the upcoming months.
