How to Hijab: Top Stylists Share Secrets of the Perfect Tie-up

Stylist IFDC You may think there are only a handful of ways to don a hijab. But you would be mistaken. Over the past years, hijab styling has become more and more creative, and next week, the Islamic Fashion and Design Council (IFDC) will share expert tips on how to tie up! Through a series of hijab tutorials at the 2015 International Textile Fair on 26 and 27 April, IFDC will present some creative stylists of this region within the fair’s Modest Trends Platform. Each stylist will discuss, demonstrate, and style different textiles and accessories to create today’s trendiest hijab-fashions. “Hijab styling has become somewhat of an art form and differs from region to region, and culture to culture,” said Alia Khan, Chairwoman of the IFDC. “There are so many different ways to tie your hijab and each way affirms our sense of expression through creativity. We are excited to see how the stylists showcase the number of different ways that hijabs can be styled to accentuate the beauty of Islamic fashion, or iFash™, and help fashionistas find new and exciting ways to tie up!” IFDC’s hijab tutorials will be presented daily, within the Modest Trends area, by well-known stylists Maha Khalid, the Founder of the Hijab Clinic, the super-popular blogger/stylist, Zareen Shah – creator of, and fashion editor and stylist, Malika Laurent. Tutorial timings for both days will be as follows and are open to the public: 1st Daily Hijab tutorial: 12.45 2nd Daily Hijab Tutorial: 14:15 3rd Daily Hijab Tutorial: 17:15 ITF will run from 10:00 until 18:00 on 26 April and 27 April 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
